EARTHING… THE NATURAL WAY TO FEEL ENERGISED
Earthing… the art of ‘getting back to nature’ while barefoot in the park.
I recently had the joy of interviewing the wonderful Marie Reynolds, a much celebrated Wellness & Skin Health Expert who I have known for a number of years and whom I absolutely love and trust. Her intuitive, progressive approach to physical and emotional aspects of skin care and body wellbeing is utterly unique and has led to her create her own skincare lline, the MasterLift facial and she recently trained as a Bowen therapist to add to her many skills in energetic healing. Bowen is something I have myself been having for the past few years to help manage my own MS (Multiple Sclerosis) symptoms that are affected by stress.

What is Earthing?
Earthing is the art of ‘getting back to nature’ - specifically while barefoot. The idea is that walking barefoot, ‘sole to soul’, at one with the Mother Earth may help neutralize the electric charge that runs through our body, This is especially more in need for us all now that we are all permanently plugged in to our devices - phones, laptops and NetFlix (as I write I have a grounding mat under my feet to negate the energy - great for anyone with an autoimmune disorder). When our bare skin touches the ground - be it grass or soil - the earth’s natural negative energy charge can help reduce a number of ailments – hence ‘earthing’.
Earthing is widely recognised as one of the most natural, instinctive and important rediscovered health benefit. According to scientific research, direct physical contact with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth has a surprisingly positive effect on our health. Today’s modern lifestyle means that we generally don’t have such contact on a daily basis – and we’re so missing out. Chances are this modern disconnect may be a major contributor to our increasing physiological and psychological unwellness and dis-EASE. Reconnecting our bodies with our Earth's electrons has been found to promote physiological changes and boost well-being such as better sleep, calmer mood and reduced pain. Go hug that tree, stroke those petals, take your boots off while you sit on a park bench, twiddle your toes, take a deep breath - feel that energy, connect deeper with your planet that’s alive with a natural pulse: a powerful, ball of energy vibrating with subtle frequencies. That indeed is what ‘grounded’ is and always has been.
